What’s more, he claims four ways to do forwarding: illustrating, authorizing, borrowing and extending along with examples about Gitlin, Postman and Marc. The four ways represent four parts of forwarding rewriting to make an entire new essay written by another writer.
I am interested in the news about the Chinese hackers have attacked New York Times for months. Because the audience is different, different companies would have opposite direction to forward towards the facts. Fortunately, I can read the news from both Chinese Medias and American Medias to see the difference. New York Times, one of the biggest American media companies, also as a part of news, collect and talk everything they can to support its idea. Without showing some opinions and evidence represented by Chinese spokesman in their website, they want to persuade Americans that all the evidences support their ideas. However, the Chinese media did a total opposite report. They showed their evidences to Chinese people to persuade them that the Chinese government never did it before, and tell people that it is a theory called “China threat”. Actually, Hong Kong (CNN) did both aspects; however, we can easily figure out that it just reported things referring to different news resources. Although all the news illustrated the fact, they have different ways to do borrow authorizing, borrowing and extending. It is a complex issue, and as a normal person, I do not know the truth.
